When she found his clothes on her bedroom floor the next morning, she glanced across at the other pillow it held an indent. It wasn’t her imagination, Luca had clearly stayed over. She groaned as she debated with herself, had she done the right thing?

She had found a sense of family working for hi s father, and he was valuable to her. They had harmlessly flirted but sleeping with him was taking their relationship to another level. She wondered if she should have thought this through more before taking such a major leap.

Gisela had never been with any man long enough to gain maturity in this sort of thing, she found herself thinking as a teenager would. She wondered if she would be enough. Although when she thought back on the night previous, she was glad it was him. Before the Lady of the Lake had been in her life she wouldn’t have had the confidence to even speak to any man as attractive as Luca.

Hearing him come upstairs, she tried to tidy up her hair and look a little more composed.

“Good morning.”

He had a wicked smile on his face as he passed her a mug of coffee. She shyly accepted and a little unsure she turned and placed it on the side table. He was in his underwear, and she felt shy, her eyes flitted away from him.

He didn’t miss her expression and dove onto the bed. He was playfully trying to make her even more embarrassed.

With a half smile and a little giggle, she glanced at him, “Good morning.”

“That’s more like it.”

“Thanks, Luca.”

She looked away embarrassed.

He reached out and touched a fallen lock of hair pushing it back behind her ear.

“I’d love you see you again,” he said, leaning forward and kissing her on the cheek. “But right now, I need to get to work, before my dad kicks my ass.”

Gisela bit her lip, she was unsure if she could ask.

“But, what if I have some work for you?” she said raising the covers a fraction and turning to face him.

His boyish grin widened, and without a word, he dove back inside the bed and pulled the covers over them both.
